Window Dance CapCut Template vs AI Generator: Which to Use

Short answer: The Window Dance trend spread through a free CapCut template, and you can find it by searching "Window Dance" in CapCut or tapping the template link on a #windowdance TikTok. The template keeps someone else's window, room, clothes and timing and only swaps a face. If you want the whole scene made around you, or your pet, without installing anything, use our Window Dance AI generator: one photo in, a 12-second 9:16 video out in about 3–5 minutes.

CapCut template vs AI generator

• What changes: the template swaps a face onto the original clip; the AI generator films the whole 12-second scene with you in it.
• Your outfit: the template keeps the original dancer's clothes; the AI keeps the clothes from your photo.
• Pets: the template only works with human faces; the AI generator works with a dog or cat.
• App: the template needs the CapCut app and editing; the AI generator runs in your browser.
• Price: the template is free; the AI generator is $9.99 for one video or $19.99 for three, no subscription.
• Watermark: the AI video has no watermark.

When the template is enough

If you just want your face on the exact original clip and don't mind editing in CapCut, the free template is fine. People usually switch to an AI generator when the face swap looks pasted on, when they want their own outfit, or when they want to make the pet version.

How to make it without CapCut

1. Open the Window Dance AI generator on your phone or computer.
2. Upload one clear photo of yourself, a friend who agreed, or your pet. A free photo check runs before you pay.
3. Pay once at checkout (no account needed) and download the MP4 in about 3–5 minutes. Add the trending sound in TikTok when you post.

FAQ

Is there a CapCut template for the Window Dance?

Yes. The trend took off with a free CapCut template posted on TikTok on October 22, 2026. Search "Window Dance" in CapCut or use the template link on a #windowdance video.

Why use an AI generator instead of the template?

The template only swaps a face onto a fixed clip. The AI generator makes the whole scene around your photo, keeps your own clothes, works with pets and needs no app.

Is there a Window Dance filter?

People often call the template a "filter", but there is no camera filter that creates the scene. Either use the CapCut template or generate the video with AI.

Does the AI video use the trend's song?

No. It comes with an original AI-generated beat. To use the trending sound, add it in TikTok when you post.
